was created in May 2002 by Mike deLeon. This non-profit organization
seeks others, musicians and non-musicians alike, who would like to support
our mission. At this time, this is an informal organization without
any by-laws, charter, or other articles of organization (other than the
web URL).
The initial purpose
of the organization is to provide a stable Internet web address for others
seeking information about funk, soul, and jazz music. As others join
in support of our mission, we can formalize our organization and function
and expand our activities. The web site also serves as an Internet
point-of-contact for SoulFunk's principals.
